Johnson County CLIMB is an exciting opportunity to learn about your community and the surrounding areas. The program first began in 1985. Today, it is one of the oldest leadership programs in Missouri.
CLIMB is designed as a ten week program. Each week participants will discover a new area of Johnson County. The first week will consist of two retreat days and one of the other weeks will consist of two days spent in Jefferson City learning about the Missouri State Government. During the other eight weeks, the class will meet on Thursday during regular work hours. Upon completion of the program, class members will graduate and become one of the nearly 600 CLIMB Alumni.
Each CLIMB participant will be asked to make a one year commitment to volunteer with an organization of his or her choice. The class as a whole will also be asked to do one fundraiser together.
